Ferrari's galore!

On our first morning in Hong Kong we woke up to all of these Ferrari's in our hotel parking lot.  It was crazy, but they were pretty sweet!  Casey had to have his picture taken by one!

Hong Kong

We left for Hong Kong on December 29, 2012.  When we got there we were all hungry and wanted to get some food!  Hong Kong is not a part of China, so we had to get Hong Kong money.  It looks like play money, but was pretty cool.  The other cool thing was that they drive on the opposite side of the road and the driver sits on the opposite side of the car.  Karen was rather excited about this, so wanted to be the first one to sit in the front with the cab driver!  We ended up eating at Pizza Hut because we could not find anything else, but it was very good!

Christmas morning!

Unfortunately in China, Casey was still scheduled to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas!  Those that were not traveling and/or did not go home were at the plant.  Since Casey was sick, he did stay home.  We opened presents early in the morning and spent time talking to family back home.  For dinner we cooked up some appetizers and just went to Joe and Karen's for a relaxing evening.  We ate and watched the movie Elf.

Making cookies for Santa!

Christmas Eve was not a lot of fun at our house this year as both Casey and I were not feeling well.  I still wanted to make sure we put out cookies for Santa.  So Ellen and I made cookies to leave out that night.  We had also planned on going out to dinner with a group of families, but Casey and I did not feel like going.  Thanks to Joe and Karen, Ellen still got to go and eat some good food!  Plus mom and dad got to rest!

Pancakes for breakfast....Ellen's favorite!

Even though we had a party to celebrate Ellen's birthday, we still had to celebrate on the actual day by having pancakes.  Ellen's favorite!  I tried to get creative and make one in the shape of an "E".  Casey said, it can also be a "3".  Man I'm good!

Ellen's 3rd Birthday Party!

Ellen wanted strawberry ice cream for her birthday, so she got her own little tub.  I also made chocolate chip cookies in the toaster oven and then turned them into ice cream sandwiches for the adults.  I must say I am mastering this toaster oven and desert was a hit!  We invited Joe, Karen, Jacky, Takila and Jessica over.  I found a place that delivered pizza.  So that is what we had for dinner.  Jessica helped me order it on Friday, so we would have it on time for Saturday!  They suggest you order two hours in advance!  The best part was that it was pretty good, so was well worth it!
So,what are some of the gifts Ellen got?  Joe and Karen got her some cool building blocks.  Jacky got her a cute panda bear doll and back pack.  Takila got her a hat and Jessica got her two new fish!  Yippee!

Getting ready for Ellen's birthday party!

We are pretty limited when it comes to party decorations in China, but I managed to find this awesome set at Metro.  It even came with the balloons.  I blew up most of them, but Casey tried to help.  He blew up the red balloon on the far right.  And yes, that is all he could do! Since he lacked in the area of blowing up the balloons he decided he would decorate with them and taped them up for us!  What a guy!
